Soccer is Going to Be the Number 1 Sport in the United States

Soccer is going to be number one because it’s the sport of the future in America and always will be. Soccer is only the sport to post such a large increase. Since some time the European players come to play in the United States so young people are interested in soccer so soccer will be number one in this country, it's clear and definitive, and it's very likely that soccer will surpass all the sports in this country like baseball and basketball.

According to New York Soccer Club, people “aged 55 and older have identified soccer as their favorite. But among adults aged 18 to 34, soccer was the favorite sport of the 11% of them, only 6% of young adults chose baseball as their favorite sport.” These number are important because it shows how much people who love soccer and people who do not like soccer.

Young people are getting more interested in soccer. Surveys like the one done above clearly shows the sport is getting more popular. This is also seen by the amount of leagues and clubs around the world. These professional teams and clubs have grown because there are more fans of soccer today than there were 20 years ago.

According to the website New york soccer club, “Soccer is surely the most popular sport in the world, but not the most popular and the most important sport in the united states sports scene, it will bring a lot of advance into the hearts and make united states sports the way that football, basketball, hockey, baseball, and even tennis and golf have done. But some people think the opposite because they do not like soccer they says soccer can’t going to be number one in this country for them because they are more interested by Basketball, Hockey or Baseball just because some people like soccer doesn’t mean it’s the best sport, but they forget that the American culture has been changing through the year though, and soccer is becoming more and more popular. It’s possible that soccer can become one of the most popular sports in the United States. I really think it's possible because I have personally seen an increase in fan participation and social acceptance.

This is not the only element of American football to deal with this misconception. Even the stereotype of MLS is that many European players come to play in the United States because football has a huge development and is becoming a paradise for distressed European players looking for pay.
