College trips and HS decision making

College trips are a great opportunity for high school students to see where they fit in. These trips aren’t necessarily a necessity to high school decision making; nor does every high school student have the capability of attending such a trip, but if there is a possibility that you can, make sure you solidify a spot on the trip.

One can only know so much about a college without visiting it. College trips guarantee an in-person perspective.

Thirty students from Forsyth attended an overnight college trip at Binghamton University last weekend. From this Thirty, All of them knew few to nothing about Binghamton even after receiving a college catalog, itinerary, and going on the college website.

Forsyth went to a fashion show, took a tour around the school, and got acquainted with the students of Binghamton.

Approximately ninety percent of the Forsyth students would like to attend Binghamton.

(Without any prior knowledge of this college before going)

Savion Smith says “If you have a first hand experience with a college it gives you a taste of what has yet to come”.

Jessica (Teacher) “It’s a good opportunity to learn more about college”.

Posha (Counselor) “ “If you go visit a college you’re put in the database for visiting, therefore if you apply; the college would see how interested you are. It can give you an edge over other students applications”.

Have you ever wondered how diverse the college is?

What kind of food is around?

Oh yeah, what about the average size of classes?

Who is gonna answer my questions?

Right.

Questions.

College trips are predominantly questions.

Students of Forsyth bombarded college tourists and college students with questions into they fully got an understanding on a topic. Getting the full jist of what the college holds, is what a college trip ensures.

Be on the attack and reiterate questions, this is one in a lifetime thing.
