In the light of today's technology the majority of teens and young adults own and play a video game console such as an Xbox or Playstation. Time goes by quickly when you’re on a console. Consoles have been known to cost between $350 dollars to $600 dollars, plus the games and memberships that most people end up buying down the line. Buying a PC would be more costly initially, but end up saving you money. Keep reading and find out why owning a gaming PC is worth it in the long run.
One of the major factors in saving money by using a PC is the difference in the cost of games. For example, a brand new triple A console game is $60 dollars off launch, which is pricey. On PC the same exact game can be found for $30 to $40 dollars depending on where you purchase it.
The next point is gaming platforms such as microsoft, sony, and steam for PC. Steam is one of the best online gaming platforms and has some of the best online features on PC which are also known to be much affordable than console. Steam is similar to the xbox store or the playstation store because it is the go-to place to purchase your games, DLC’s, digital currencies and other add ons and expansion packs. On console you must pay 60 dollars a year or 30 dollars every 3 months for an online membership. On Steam it's free to play online at all times, all you have to pay for on PC is for games and DLC which are about 40% cheaper than xbox and playstation.
