Fashion in NYC can be seen anywhere. Often, fashion is seen as brand names, fashion shows, high cost, and models. Something that is a luxury. But fashion is there for everyone and does not require being rich to be fashionable.

Ishrat, a fashionable person, stated, “Fashion can be a way to express yourself and also a way to experiment with different ideas and feelings.”

However, Ishrat also commented that she “think[s] it is a luxury to prioritize fashion.” Some people may say that you need be financially capable to be fashionable yet the other half agrees that all you need to do is be creative and work with what you got. People have different opinions on how fashion should be prioritize in this society. Norbely Cruz a fashionable expert commented “I think to be fashionable you need to have a sense of style and about the ways you put clothes together.”
