Having Freedom of Speech for Students

Students journalist should be supported by the constitutional right of freedom of press. Students should have the right to voice their opinions or facts based on what they want to talk about. Principles shouldn’t be censorship students writing piece on what is going on in their school because if there is bullying going on in the school a student should have the right to speak on it as she/he writing about that student might be helping other student that is going through the same thing with bullying. Where her audiences that are reading what’s going on, someone can try or doing something for the bullying to stop. I also believe that principle should just let students write about anything that’s going on in school because there is a reason why students are writing about it and it’s a way where students can express themselves and want something better for the school. The things that students should be censored for is talking about anything that is personal such as someone relationship or talking about someone parents. That should be censored because in the supreme court decision, Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier in 1988 “ a Missouri principal’s censorship of an article about parental divorce and teenage sexuality because they feared the students would be hurt.” students should be only talking about what's going on in their school not things dealing outside of school, they should still have the right to say anything they want but things that are personal and a student don't know what they talking about shouldn't put that in a school newspap
