Freedom of the Press

Student Journalists shouldn’t be supported by the constitutional right of freedom of press. If content isn’t being controlled then students feelings may become hurt. Censorship could avoid bullying in schools. Bullying can lead to suicide if a victim becomes overwhelmed. The personal business of students being leaked could destroy their reputation. If personal things aren’t censored then schools can feel unsafe.

In middle school somehow this girl’s business was exposed. The other student in the school found out that she was a crack baby; this led to bullying. The students made the girl feel bad however she didn’t commit suicide. One girl asked the other girl if she was a crack baby; the girl responded “ no not no more i use to be a crack baby”.There was a crowd of students standing around when this conversation took place it was very sad.

If the student continued to get bullied as a result of no censorship from the other students mouth it could have lead to suicide. When the truth is censored to some degree then feelings are less likely to become hurt. When there is too much Freedom of press it causes problems with one’s reputation. Freedom of press can lead to a great deal of problems in one’s life that may be hard to bounce back from.
