Students Journalist should not be supported by the constitutional right of “ Freedom of press”. The human brain doesn’t stop developing until mid-20s or even early 30s (Jessica’s class).
We as students might not know how to go about phrasing certain things as adequately.
Limits are put in the world, There is always boundaries. Entertainment, Communication, Media are all censored. It limits harmful advertisements, Helps save children from violence, It also somewhat contains hate.
Someone who is all for Students being supported by Freedom of press would probably argue that censoring Student Journalists violates the First amendment “Freedom of speech”. Freedom of speech sometimes threatens a person or a person security. Okay, let’s say if a student journalist interviews a student on a certain topic, That topic can be sensitive to that student or even others. When it is posted students then realize things on this topic harming their security. Censoring avoids this, some topics are more sensitive than others and Student Journalists should acknowledge that.
