Millennials today are much more drawn to becoming an entrepreneur than working a nine to five like their old folks. Little do they know being an entrepreneur isn't as easy as they might have perceived.
It’s a career that requires 110% of you 24/7 of the time. Although, it’s easy to understand why more and more people are waking up and wanting to be their own boss and own a business, you know with social media making it so easy for you to get your business or brand out there. “With the meteoric rise of platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Kickstarter, Google+ and countless others over the past decade, it has transformed the way we think about life and business with regards to sharing information, connecting with consumers, networking with colleagues, collaborating on projects, and company branding.”- (Joan Snyder,digitalempowers.com) Company and brand owners are now using the advantage of social media to reach consumers and spread their brand.
Social media is becoming more essential, 1 out every 3 Americans receive their news from Facebook. “Over the past few years, an interesting transformation has occurred in the business world. Social media has become less of an optional marketing opportunity and more of a priority. In fact, platforms like Facebook and Twitter have become integral parts of brand awareness, content distribution, lead generation, and customer acquisition strategies for businesses.” While it’s wiping out local newspapers it's doing a number for new entrepreneurs and startup businesses. Social media is becomming a serious buisness.
While it’s easy building your business up with the help of social media ,your gonna have to do even more work to hold its position. Social media doesn’t just bring more consumer connection it brings more competition.“Entrepreneurship grew in 2016, according to the much-anticipated annual report by the Kauffman Foundation. Over the past two years, the rate of entrepreneurship has increased nearly 15%, which translates to more than 550,000 new businesses for each month during that time frame.” New entrepreneurs and business owners if trying to come out on top in the social media world need to come precise and ready to clog there consumers feeds.
