This article is about the best season of the American Horror Story: Coven.
The show uses historical facts and events in their plot, they talk about major issues in society, and they have amazing characters that anyone hooked.
It’s based off a true story and that’s what make the story even better knowing that what happen in that show is real. The house in the show took place in New Orleans, Louisiana in the 1800s. The owner of the house was Marie Delphine LaLaurie, in the show her character’s story portrayed real historical events. She was a very rich women at the time and owned many slaves. However, the scary thing is that she would keep them in her basement and torture them.
Judgement is a central theme in Coven. In the Coven there were witches that lived together in a house and people around them would think of witches as if they were devils or just something sent from hell. They judged them because of their power and the things they are capable of doing. The show hits on an issue we see today regardless of where we live. People judge each other based on clothing, preconceived ideas, race, gender, and sexual orientation.
But in the show that all changes because they show people that all witches aren’t the same, and they’re all not something sent from hell or the devil's creation. One witch is played by an actress named Nan who has down-syndrome.
In this show there is a witch called the Supreme. The supreme is the highest witch and has the most powers. Her name is Fiona, Fiona is the main character in the show and she’s the most meanest, cold hearted , and selfish witch in the house but she brings it alive. This is why you Coven.
