Having Lupus can cause people to feel many emotions, and some of them can be negative like depression and loneliness. People don’t often understand what Lupus can do to someone emotionally and don’t know how difficult it is until they talk to someone going through it. Having a group of trusted people, like family and friends, to talk to can help Lupus patients’ emotional health.
A WebMD article states, “Living with lupus can have a profound effect on a person’s mental and emotional well-being … [they are] also likely to have felt emotions such as grief, fear, anxiety, and depression.”
“Lupus is a disease that can cause many damages on a person’s body, but not only for a certain amount of five weeks it can be a lifelong.”
Lupus is a inflammatory disease caused by the immune system attacks it’s own issue. Yes there is a treatment but it can’t be cured because it hasn’t been. It requires a lot of medical diagnosis. Many Lab testing everytime you see a doctor or they require you to take one. It can not last forever but can be lifelong. Effectively everyone is different so not everyone knows how one person can have pain in their joints, skin, kidneys,or brain.
According to my sister Lucy Hernandez who also has Lupus, “There’s days I don’t want to do anything just lay in bed also for example today it’s beautiful outside and i can’t be exposed”.
